Guh. Suffering from a fit of "My hair will never grow because the curls eat up the length." Which is stupid because I shaved the back of my hair and now its....longer.

    But still. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

When I cut my hair I bravely told mysef that I would give it 10 years to grow back. Ten years, at about an inch a month.

    Guh.

    Just GUH.

In other news, I oiled my hair today because it needed it and, just for this thread, I measured.

It took 1 cup of avocado oil to soak my shoulder length 3b/3c curls. ONE CUP. lol. You ladies with the long, long hair can easily use the whole bottle! I feel like I used slightly less than I do when it soak with olive oil because avocado oil is thinner. But still.

And I wish I could just dip the pony tail in the oil (one day!), but for this method I had to pile all my hair on my head and pour until everything was all squelchy. I poured until there wasn't a piece of hair that wasn't oily to the touch.

I love that I started that hair album because it shows me every time I update it that I'm not going crazy. I actually take a picture a month and over the last year and half, it's sort of astonishing.

I think it's all the Brave posters. I'm just a big kid who wants long curls like the Disney character. It figures that Disney would finally make a curly heroine and my hair would be a little poofball. Boo. Waaaaaaaaah!

On the plus side, I'm not layering this time around and it's so fun to see all this...wideness....growing in. The same wideness I hated when I was a kid looks so cool now!

My hair loved the CO dry soak, oiling, and CO. I put my regular leave in, a touch of Honeysuckle Rose, and some Kinky Curly Curling Custard and it looked great for 3 days. I did it again and it was dry in a day. I caved and bought some VO5 SKR on Amazon-it's my holy grail and I haven't been able to find it in my area for months.

There are pictures of me with my hair brushed... needless to say, it's not pretty! (I believe one of the comments compared it to that stuffing you find in pillows!) I can never wrap my head around people with curls who can brush into waves... just does not compute for me!

I'm just not ready to be a Renegray yet!
