Nice to meet you too luluj! I'll contribute once I can manage to make a decent updo, I'm really no good with styling my hair lol.

I completely understand, Begemont. It took me hours of practice when I first started doing updos, my arms would literally ache from doing an updo over and over again.

I love this! So simple and elegant.

I'm looking to get a hairstick to start practising the buns possible at this length, does anyone have a recommendation for a good starter stick? I've currently only tried (and failed) with a pencil haha!

Ketylo is a very good choice for a starter stick, as Lady Stardust stated in her post. Mine are all 5 inch and they are little work horses for sure.

A Gibson Tuck - My hair compacts down a lot so the roll is puny

I love the Gibson tuck Lady Stardust. To me it doesn't look puny at all. Just balanced and beautiful, especially with the flowers.

Your peacock twist is one the most unique I have seen, it is beautiful. I never would have thought that a hair slide would work so well for a peacock twist. Now I want a hair slide, lol!
