How you would use donut with discbun?

I think Wildcat Diva came up with the idea. I heard about it some time ago so no idea whether there's a video or instructions anywhere.

You pull your hair through the donut hole and then form the discs around that. It worked fine except that my hair is so thin you could tell the hair rat was behind. The hairs in my shed-made rats goes in all directions, but the bun hairs all orient the same way and you could see the tangles behind. It looked awful.

Ahh now that you mention, yes I think I've seen the video sometimes. I have often hard time covering my donut too, but I have one which gives more leeway: it's a strore bought one and has faux hair (brown) wrapped around it, so it it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb if it peeks through. The minus side is, that you can't put pins through it.

Excellent idea! I will wrap new sheds around in the same direction. (Duh, why did I never think of this before?)

I did another braided LWB for a while but it got too loose so I switched to a braided L infinity that I hope will stay better. Second day braids are so hard to bun

Today, a cinnablob skewered with my medium nightowl flexi. It loosens but doesn't fall out, so this is about as close as I come to a messy bun yet.

Up in a soft top-knot with dampened and oiled ends that looks like an enlightenment/American revolution era wig since it's dry shampoo night in my wash cycle and my roots have a fair amount of corn starch/EO mixture powdered on in order to soak up the greasies overnight.
