A pic of me at age 36...more salt than pepper. Just because you've got some salt doesn't mean you're old and need to change your look!

OleGrayMare, what a stunningly gorgeous pic!!! I need to show that to my DH right away so he can see that silver is sexy!!! :-)
You got it, Wintersun99!!! I can't wait to have some silver pics to post! So, happy growing to you (and to me) and to all who are joining us and I'll help encourage you to stay away from the henna, if you do the same...
Although this young lady has short hair, her salt and pepper is hella gorgeous and somehow punk! I love it!!

Yay, thanks for starting this thread and posting so many gorgeous pictures! I'm beginning to gray myself (have been "beginning to gray" for the past ten years, LOL) and could use more role models in the salt and pepper stage. These women all look lovely!

Here's another pic of Rogue from X-Men - DH says she's "hot!" - so maybe there's hope for him liking the gray after all! :-) I just have to wear it with cleavage-showing tight black leather, that's all...

Good for you Mellie! Good luck!
You may be an inspiration for me. Those pics are all gorgeous. I agree we could use some more role models with salt and pepper hair.

Great Thread!
I love gray. I drove dump truck for 5 years, going in and out of rock quarry's I found there are so many different shades of gray I fell in love with it.
I love my grays they are thicker than my colored hairs!
Yay mellie! Good for you! I just completed my transition last year. Might I suggest, if at some point you get discouraged with the way your transitional hair is looking, adding some streaks of a light color into your hair so that the grays blend in. That's how I got through. I had much lighter hair than you have, but for a few years there I added some light streaks to my hair, and that way the white hair coming in blended in more. Plus, light streaks would look awesome and hip in your beautiful dark hair.
