Back after a loooonnngg hiatus. 🌷Going Gray
its too dark here to take photos but I am going to take one tomorrow. Mine is a bit smaller than my signature bun but still big and full. I have layers and so it doesn't 'roll' evenly for me.. its loose and loopy but still quite nice.
Lady Ardwinna of the Blessed Soil in the Order of the Long Haired Knights!
What a great idea. I am thinking of trying this on my 7yo daughter who has ultra thin hair and will possibly escape the Princess Lea stereotype. (Heads off to chop us some of 5yo son's socks).
Oho, I'm so going to try this. I don't like sock buns much but for the look of having masses of hair I'll give it a go .
Very clever! Teazel, wow!
I don't know if I'd dare doing this myself - I think I'd manage to get the sock all tangled up in my hair when trying to get it out again
How cute! I'm going to try this, but I need a pair of socks, and I don't think my mother will be happy about me stealing hers. And I only brought five pairs (for three weeks! Stupid!)... So, I have to wait another week!
(Unless I blame Socks (yes, it's really her name), The Sock Eating Cat. She used to make big holes in every sock she could find when she was a kitten)
I've had problems with other versions of the sock bun, but I think I'll like this method better!
September 2012. Next mini goal: Hip!
Ha! I already get irritated at the mass of my hair in a bun and wouldn't add anything that could grow that I like the bangs of the girl in the video and have been wanting some for quite a while as I think it is more flattering than my current bang-less state, but I don't want to cut them out of my real hair as it isn't think enough for my taste in the first place and I have trouble finding false bangs that look good.
