Sometimes I do this if I can't find any of my pins or scrunchies but it doesn't always stay up as long as I need it to. My biggest problem is tucking the ends of all my twists into the center because they don't all end in the same place when I'm done making the bun.

    Hi Hairy-Fairy,

when such a pinless bun stays for some hours it is better than nothing and just in case it will drop, you can re-do it . Actually I find it good, that not all hair do end at one big knob when I do a bun. The hack is to distribute the ends around the base evenly, then they hold each other even better than when ending all in one narrow place. And with yourr hair structure (if I can believe your current avatar ), this should hold much better and easier than with ultra straight slippery hair.

    Yup, I can do it.
Discovered that earlier this month. Was overjoyed.
