I think I've decided to explore my terminal length. Might as well do it while I'm still relatively young and at maximum genetic potential, right?

There is one condition, however. I'm not willing to treat my hair extra carefully. There will be no antique lace principles when it comes to any product of my head. So what I'm going for, I guess, is something like "reasonable terminal"? For me, reasonable means I must be allowed to inflict some damage on it, because that's an important part of what makes hair enjoyable for me. That includes things like wearing it in potentially damaging styles (braids hanging down, loose, etc.), headbanging, frequent washing, and so on. I guess it also means a small trim here and there. So I'll never reach my absolute terminal length, and I'm okay with that!

It doesn't feel right to call that whatever that length is 'terminal', so for now, I've dared to set my goal at knee, because looking at the thickness of my ends now past classic, and considering their condition, I think I'll be able to make it at least to knee relatively okay.

Good luck Ylva! You are finding your metal terminal length! I figure terminal still works, I'm sure not everyone who wants to find terminal doesn't have atleast one bad habit they inflict on themselves.

LOL, I think I'll just set my goal length to "metal"!

That way, I'll never need to adjust it! Yes, that's it!

Now you’re making me wonder about my goal length. Originally I was thinking classic, but now that I’m too lazy to trim to maintain it there, I’m wondering about fingertip. Maybe my actual goal length is “lazy”…does that equate to something like terminal?

Put Lazy I vote we make it a thing to make up weird goal terms no one but us will get

Metal is such a great milestone

I approve!
I'm not sure about my goal, it should be CL +, but it's more soemthing between "till I can still wear it down when I want" and "long enough to make me do consistent trims (3-4 inches) without regrets".
