My hair grows at ~0.6 inch/month, but I'm curly.

Oh I see. Would it be different with thick, kinda wavy hair? Also is it true that hair grows relatively fast when you're a young adult?

Wavy hair shows length more than curly, and sometimes younger people grow faster. But in the summer I usually have a month of 1.5 inch growth and I'm 41. For me growth is seasonal. My sister grows almost an inch a month year round and she is 40. She lucked out genetically. It also has a lot to do with nutrition, how active you are and overall health.

    Hi griffindoor (I'm a Ravenclaw

Like pili said, I think there are a lot of factors that can affect growth rate, age only being one of them.

My hair stats are similar to yours, and I've been growing out a longish pixie (Bieber-hair ) since late last April. Here is where I started:
    https://postimg.org/image/iylngl9b3/
    https://postimg.org/image/gohd0gzmx/

And here is where I'm at now:
    https://postimg.org/image/ypkxbaobn/
    https://postimg.org/image/4vedcoyyp/
    https://postimg.org/image/gfkdysua5/

This is with no trims, although I did cut off the long pieces in the front that were left over from the pixie ear cut outs about a month after the earlier pictures were taken. So in ~9 months, it's grown from around eye level to around chin in the front, and from nape to collarbone-level in the back. I'm not 100% sure of these measurements in inches, or my monthly growth rate. I try to measure sometimes but don't keep up with it enough to get a baseline.

You need to step away from the scissors! If it's bugging you or looking "unhealthy", just put it up, have a cup of tea, and FORGET ABOUT IT! lol!

    henna keeps it
red, and red makes me happy.
Pixied for 15+ years and liked it.
    Growing for fun.

It took me a year also.. and i have straight hair which grows pretty quickly.
And it took about that time to be able to pony it up too.
