I voted yes, at least for days where I want waves. I will let it air dry with as little touching as possible (no combing, no fiddling, nada).

On days when I damp bun my hair, I will finger comb beforehand.

No. I never blowdry, but I comb with a wide-tooth seamless comb while wet. Otherwise it's too tangled to comb out later. Fingercombing gives me a lot of shedding and breakage.
