Well, I am going to try to do it older than 50!

Karen - My Mom was the same. We were never allowed to have long hair. Always had pixies. Maybe because there were 3 girls 11 months apart. She probably didn't want to deal with the washing combing on three heads of hair. I'm over 50 too. I've had it pretty long several times. Now I'm in for the long haul.

I don't really have an inspiration - maybe I need one. No offense to the guys in here, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a guy with long hair that's made me think I should do that. Since I started growing my hair out, I've had so many people tell me how it suits me and how good it looks, so I've kept with it. I don't think it looks bad right now, but I'm a little insecure about it.
I hang around this place to get info that will hopefully keep it looking good, but hopefully it will give me a little more confidence too.

Carole Bouquet as Melina in "For Your Eyes Only." Amazing hair. Brown, healthy, gorgeous.

My hair inspiration is the Bollywood movies Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas. Aishwarya Rai stars in both of them, and in both of them everyone has these beautiful long, thick braids and fancy updos.... I know they're probably fake hair, but I still think they look beautiful.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qhkBTGE_Wo

this video is pure hair heaven. Aishwarya's hair is loose and probably.... classic length, I think? And all the beautiful long braids.... aargh!

Wow...I never really thought of what my inspiration is......I did have some weird revelation though once. When it comes to the 4 elements : Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.......I realized that one of the only things that can totally destroy human hair was the one element that we has people do not willingly expose ourselves to. That being fire....So......if ya have it, then grow it!!!!..........

My husbands aunt who has gorgeous, thick, probably tailbone length hair, it is AMAZING. Sadly none of her sisters appreciate it!
