Even though I dyed my hair for almost 10 years and didn't care for it, I have very little damaged ends. Ok, they are a little bit dry, but no breakage and almost no split ends. If I see a split end and my hair scissors are close, I cut it, but I don't do S&D as I think it is not a very efficient use of my time. But once or twice a year I trimm about 5mm.

I chose "other". I have every curly hair which tends to get really dry (duh!). Since I leave away gel and other styling products my ends feel silky even after one week of not washing. My secret is conditoner as a leave in!

I am still growing my layers out, perhaps a small trim when that is all done. My ends aren't to bad, just wispy looking.

I'm babying them and keeping them until I reach waist, then I'll start cutting them off as I maintain. Right now I value length more than health because when my hair is long I'm more likely to let it dry naturally and be unheat-styled than when it is shorter because my hair is wavy and my hair looks really stupid when it's wavy and APL. Plus when it's too short I'm always tempted to straighten it all and put in clip in extentions.

I do small trims to keep my hem line neat. I don't have extensive damage in my hair, but when babying my hair doesn't reduce the dryness and my hair is starting to split or become velcro like I'd rather just take the ends off and not deal with them.

I didn't really have damaged ends... so I went without a cut and without special pampering for 2 years. Then, the ends were just too thin because of my shed, and I cut off about 2 inches. I just S&D, but I don't get/do regular trims.

I chose "other." I've only been on LHC for about five weeks, but my hair has improved so much in that time! I've done a few long S&D sessions, and have been checking my ends frequently since, snipping the occasional split--looking good so far!
