I've used a coffee rinse on a whim a few times when I've had some left from the morning. It's mainly seemed to give my hair a richer color and a massive amount of shine the next day. The effect was temporary until the next shampoo for me, but I didn't really let it soak for a long time or set out to color my hair with it.

I have an experiment I'm going to try:

If I have ~3 mochas per day, maybe it'll affect my root growth

Anything for science!

Yes, I've done it. It gave my somewhat sandy dark brown hair a deep rich brown. Just brew the coffee and pour it over your hair as a rinse. Let it set for a while and rinse out. Caffiene is also allegedly supposed to help with hair shedding and breakage. When I did the rinse I added marshmellow root as well. the mucilage gave me a LOT and I mean a LOT of slip and was very conditioning....I rinsed the herbs and some of the coffee out and my hair was very soft and it was a deep dark color. I also used a couple of packets of black tea as well. the color was gorgeous and was a rich dark brown color. I haven't done it lately, but I do recommend it.

I just posted in another hread about this but i'll put it here because it might be useful.

I just disolved some instant coffee in a small amount of water and added some conditioner, it made a thick paste, so tomorrow morning i'm going to make a larger amount to cover my hair and leave it for an hour then rinse. I'll update with results tomorrow
