I use wet because I can chart actual growth that way as opposed to visible growth which takes longer.
Yeah, me too. But for my hair is as long as the bulk of it is, so even if I have waist length locks, it doesn't count in my eyes, because the bulk is still around BSL/midback. And to add insult to misery, for me long hair is hips/BCL and longer. Waist is short!

Honestly, I can't wait until I'm at least your length, RCC. After that, I'll be pretty happy with my hair. xD I'll probably still grow, but I can be content for a while.

I hate having hair that's above shoulder length. D<

I was going to post in your album that you have the cutest nape curls! But I didn't want to be a creeper.

I would get somewhere and then get stuck for ages. I think I spent a year at APL. I think curls just don't show visible length that quickly.

Sometimes I really want an above the shoulder bob. I've always keep my hair at about APL because I needed some length to put it up in uniform. But, I'm officially retired in two weeks, so no more of that! I'm sure on of these days I'll chop it really short just because I now can, lol.

Tell me about it! I actually think my hair looks shorter than it did when I joined here a year ago, and I've only cut about an inch or two since then. I'd like to think that my hair is healthier now, so it's curling more. So I'd like to think...

However, when my hair is soaking wet, it's about waist length and the bulk of it is between my shoulder blades, so I know it's growing. It's just frustrating not to see it.

Aww RCC, I'd be saddened. You (and you siggy pic) had quite a role in bringing me to embrace my curly side But I can understand your desire to try the bob after so many years of APL (been there too, not that many years though lol). But I feel like my hair is so different now than it used to be, and for me personally everything short equals a disaster so a bob is a no-go, especially with curly thick hair. But whatever makes you happy, I'm sure your curls will look fantastic

I don't have nearly as curly hair as you guys and i still seem to have alot of shrinkage. It seems to be staying in the same spot, but getting longer in the shower

Oh, no worries, that is a very long term idea. I think I just like the thought of actually being able to do it when I wasn't before.

My next goal is to see if it will actually get to waist curly, and that's a good 12-18 months if I am guessing correctly.

Whatever suits you. I'm sure it'll look good short too. I couldn't--I basically HAVE a bob (o-o can guys have bobs? I think they can), and i think it looks somewhat odd on me. Curls look nice, but it doesn't really suit my face, I think. Plus, I get annoyed enough NOW with not being able to put it up dry. XD;

Hahaha, it'd take more than that to make you think you were. I'm not sketched out easily.
