Default - Cassia effect on extreme colored hair ?

    - I normally have bleached hair that I dye pink and I decided that I missed the effects of henna but didn't want less pink hair colour so I made a Cassia mix that's now in my hair, make up of:

100g cassia auracalata from Baldwins in elephant and castle
Original source White pear and Avocado conditioner
    Coconut oil
    Honey

and it's in my hair now, but I'm worrying how it might affect my colour . I'm not a person who tests on hair from a brush, I'm impatient and impulsive hah .

Wondering if anyone has tried using Cassia on extreme colored hair and the effects of it .

From what I read the dye effect is more likely the longer you have it in ?

In threads I normally see normal hair colored people trying it, but someone with my damaged hair heh would especially benefit a lot from the properties of cassia ^^

Hmmm... it's already on your head.... can you pull out a section and rinse just that bit to see what's going on with your color? Cassia gives a golden dye and gold over pink would be coral-peach, which could be very pretty Your hair will feel great regardless

eta: did you just mix the cassia in dry to your conditioner or dye release it? that might make a difference too, dye released will have a stronger color effect.

    - I kept it on for 2 hours, got distracted watching squatfilms with one of my SO, it washed out really easily and the colour doesnt look Too different, my haircolor still looks red indoors with yellow lighting, i will have to see how it looks outside in sunlight tomorrow.

Oh. I mixed it with hot water, then added conditioner and the rest of the stuff :/

It shouldn't make any difference. Might make it a smidge darker, but that's about it.

I didn't find cassia made a huge change to my bleached crazy colour bits until I'd applied it 3 or 4 times (just mixed with hot water) then all of a sudden my colours started to look muddy.

I gave up at that point!

Hope it works for you, I'd be interested to see what it does to your pink in sunlight.

I'd love to see before and after pictures if you are able to. I'm very curious to see how it changed your color.

    - My hair is pink in the sun, red indoors.

This was my hair right before the Cassia treatment:

    This is my hair afterwards:

After sleeping on it, got some weird ass hair on the ends and my ends felt dryer so I misted my hair with an aveda conditioner for colored hair and water and put some mineral oil on my ends . .

Not in a mood to go outside and take sunlight photos, too depressed atm. but this is good enough for now I hope . .

My hair feels much stronger in general, definitely going back to Baldwins and buying more cassia ! Considering starting to henna again as well and making a henna&cassia mix, instead of bleaching and dying my hair . . hrmm .

It looks really good, maybe the color is a little duller, but your hair looks shinier!
