Default Help me style the little ones hair for Chinese new year!!

As the little one is half chinese she will be wearing her traditional chinese dress tomorrow to school for the new year celebrations. Usually I just put her hair into two french braids and add a big red flower or something similar, but this year she wants to look like a chinese princess! So, the challenge is to suggest a style (tutorial vids if there are any would be great), mt only conditions are that it needs to be able to have her chinese sticks in somewhere and I really dont want to backcomb it at all!
For anyone who isnt familiar with her hair, its stick straight, fine and about halfway between classic and fingertip so lots of hair to use

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I had a quick Google - it seems tricky because there are a lot of historical-inspired styles, especially in video games and TV costume dramas/wuxia shows, but whether or not they're practical or even do-able by real people isn't clear!

Searching for 'wuxia hairstyles' gives some ideas.

Most little kids I saw tended to wear two high buns. They'd often wear the bobbles with the plaits of fake hair hanging from them, so it looked like they had buns with plaits hanging down.

I ended up going with this

Its two sock buns with the lengths braided and wrapped round then draped, decorated with flowers and sticks and with one single braid hamging down her back. I dont think it looks too bad

Wow, what a lovely style! What kind of a reaction did it get at school?

    Thanks everyone,
The reaction at school was very positive, a lot of the usual "did your mum do that?" And "how long did it take?"
