Thread: Henna shelf life

    Post Henna shelf life

I have 2 packs of BAQ Jamila from Henna Sooq, 2012 crop. The expiry date is May 2015. I kept the packs in the fridge since I bought the packs 2 years ago, sealed in the original packaging. Does anybody have experience using Jamila henna post the expiry date and how was the stain? Thank you very much in advance.

I also use the BAQ Jamila from Henna Sooq.
I normally keep my henna in my night-table drawer, and the one I used recently was over two years old, BAQ, was ready in less then an hour and stained perfectly with no problems (=.

It's probably still good. I keep all my henna in the freezer both in powder form and mixed.

I had 2006 Jamilla (stored in freezer), expiry 2009, that I used this weekend. Hard to tell how strong the stain is since my hair is very dark to begin with. It is distinctly red in the sun, though. And it definitely stained my hand orange.
