Default The "We're in Australia, where'd you get that?" thread.

This thread is to answer the question of finding hair accessories and products in Australia.

Please help by recommending places you've found that shampoo you love or the hair brush you can't live without or that hair toy you have 2 of in case you lose one.

Emilio Boutique for Hair in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney stocks France Luxe and Ficcare products. They no longer stock Ficcares, I'm sure they still stock some hair accessories.

Zena Hair Fashions in London Court in Perth have a couple of Ficcares in the window, again they are expensive but you can see the real thing. The shop also says it stocks Paris Mode accessories as well.

Priceline stocks 2 henna wax treatments, both are priced at $4.99 each and they are both coneless. There is Earth & Body Henna wax treatment & Ultraorganics Clear Henna Wax with Natural Plant Extracts.

    Ebay

You can find javacentric They sell horn combs and horn and wood forks and sticks.

David Jones sells Mason Pearson BBB.

REMO Store sells Monoi Oil in Australia, thanks to Gilly for pointing this out

Has anyone bought from Biome at all? They sell Giovanni hair care and other earth friendly products

Al'chemy hair products, they also make A'kin skin products.

The Bine hairclip, the Australian distributor for this product. They can also be found at the E Shed Markets and the Canning Vale Sunday Markets in Perth Western Australia.

I just have to take this opportunity to tell you that whenever I saw this thread on the old boards, at first glance I thought it said:

We're in Australia - did you get that?

    And I was all

Sorry to continue the thread hijack, but I always got a laugh at the cute title! I understand your frustration of seeing posts about a product only to find out they don't sell or ship to your area.

You can get Sukin products from most healthfood shops and I am currently using the shampoo and conditioner, both are very nice and have no nasties in at all, they seem to have got rid of my itchy scalp at last, so far anyway!
I will let you know what its like after a few weeks of use (I shampoo Daily)

I got a load of really cheap indian herbs for hair washing at a spice house in melbourne. Really cheap, i'm talking 3 dollars a box! At the health store it is at least double that! It also sells jamila henna (the good stuff) for 1.65 for 500g!

Would you have a link or the name of the spice house please?

And would you be able to redo the "Australians, Which state are you from?" survey please, that was very cool

Emilio Boutique for Hair in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney stocks France Luxe and Ficcare products. The range isn't huge but you can get a look at the real thing, it looks to be cheaper to order Ficcares from the Ficcare site and pay for postage rather than buy them from the shop.
David Jones also now have a range of France Luxe/Paris Mode and Ficcares.

On the sorbolene front, Newton's Pharmacy just behind the Queen Victoria Building have a nice vegetable sorbolene (made by themselves).

liluri-the spice house, not sure if it had a link.....this is the best i could find. it just states the address at the bottom.
You mean the archived forums will not be able to be edited and used from there? That is so sad....
Well them i better hop to it!!!
This new forum has changed, i don't take too fondly to change ( i'm mostly daunted and scared by it, i am not saying i am not greatful for it being up, i truely am!!)...i hope i warm up to this place and learn all the bits and bobs soon!
