Re: The much-recommended SMT (Snowymoon's Moisture Treatment)
I made this treatment again the other day for me and my friend's spa day. Her hair is naturally stick straight 1a, probably ii thickness, maybe medium...
I slopped some on my grand mane of one inch and she slathered the same stuff on her shoulder length hair...left it on for the same time...but her hair ended up looking and feeling horrible!! I feel so bad. :( She had to wash her hair like three or four times before it became "bearable" again!
I was so shocked, because I thought this was like the miracle treatment for everybody (everybody is not me, though! :o).
Re: The much-recommended SMT (Snowymoon's Moisture Treatment)
Sigh; that's what I'm worried about.
My hair is thick-ish, but fine and fluffy yet mostly straight.
I won't have time to repair the damage if it's a sticky mess!
I'll have to wait until I can afford a day looking possibly dreadful--or possibly lovely!

Save it for a spa day! ;) That way, even if your hair turns out not the best, the rest of you will still feel awesome!

Spa day! That's what's missing from my life!

This is how I feel. I'm going to try it on a day that I don't have to see anyone.
Re: The much-recommended SMT (Snowymoon's Moisture Treatment)
Today I am going to do my first SMT. This is what goes into my mix: Lily of the desert AVG, plain honey and conditioner from Loreal proffessionnel.
YaY, this is my first go on a LHC recipe :)
Re: The much-recommended SMT (Snowymoon's Moisture Treatment)
I'm an SMT virgin, and I feel nervous and excited at the same time about doing one.
I think I'll play safe and use the recommended V05 Sun Kissed Raspberry Conditioner to begin with alongside the honey, although I don't think I'll bother with the aloe gel just yet.
Re: The much-recommended SMT (Snowymoon's Moisture Treatment)
I swear, Snowymoon deserves a major award for this recipe!! It is a true miracle for my course, dry hair. I use Giovanni's smooth as silk conditioner with FOTE aloe & honey, leave it on for 30 minutes to an hour. Extremely silky hair!
With all the products I have bought over the years to help my hair, this by far actually works!
Thanks for experimenting Snowymoon! :blossom:

Wow! Thank you so much for such a detailed and concise post! I'll definitely have to try this.
Re: The much-recommended SMT (Snowymoon's Moisture Treatment)
I did my second SMT on Friday night. I wasn't too impressed with the first go, but this time I used Garnier Fructis Butter Mask, honey and aloe gel, and I didn't heat it as the honey mixed right in. I put it on for about an hour, and let it air-dry, and I am soooo in love with my hair right now! It's four days today, usually I only go three between washes, but I was just so happy with the texture that I stretched it an extra day.
On a good/bad note, being cone-free made my splits stand out really badly, so I've been happily snipping away at them since Saturday.
