I was wondering if honey lightening works on dyed hair (box dye, not henna). I also never see anyone lightening dark brown hair, it's usually always light hair that people do it on. Does anyone have any examples of it done to dark hair?
Thanks!!

Honey lightening works very subtly on any kind of hair, the peroxide level created by it is quite low, so even those with light shades of hair will need to do multiple applications to see any difference. I'm sure it would work for someone with dark hair, but it would take so long that it might be hard to stick with it. Just a note, most people seem to get no damage at all from it, but some have had damage from it, personally I did it 3 times in an effort to lighten henndigo and had major scary shedding each time.
It can work, but it will take multiple (and by multiple I mean a lot of) applications and patience. I ever so slightly lightened by almost-black hair last year with honey lightening treatments. It took quite a few treatments, if I remember correctly, something like 15? before I saw more results. It brought out the red in my hair really well, though.

Okay, thanks!
