Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
I just thought I would mention that I checked with CV about my order placed a couple weeks ago. It turns out that my order had not gone through after all. I tried looking it up on my paypal account first and I couldn't find it. So I checked and no order. I placed a new order now and after completing the checkout process again, I realized I must have left off the last step. There are a lot of screens to click through and approve before your order is confirmed. Weird. But at least I know that they hadn't forgotten me. It was my fault. Figured I ought to mention that here so noone would think they had poor customer service. I'm excited to have my new sample bars soon. :)
Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
Today I got my custom Unscented Shampoo Bar from the Soap Lady of Oregon! Yay!
Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
Her poo bars are amazing. They work very well for me. :) I love having all of these natural alternatives to try and rotate. ;)
Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
Yes, I am hopeful that it might work for me! Her scented ones certainly worked better than the CV bars for me, although still didn't work as well as soapnuts (I am so in love with them!).:heartbeat
Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
I really want to try Shampoo bars, but i am not sure of what type to get. My hair is sometimes very greasy at the roots and super dry on the ends. I've heard SB's are great for your hair and that conditioner is not always needed afterwards. I'm just not sure where to start, for I have never used them before. Any advice?
Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
...oh and also, do poo bars really leave a lot of residue?
Re: The Rinse Lounge -- Acid or Herbal
I do rosemary and chamomile tea rinses, diluted ACV rinses, and very diluted lemon juice rinses. I love them all! Sometimes I add one or two drops of lavender EO to the vinegar rinse to help with the smell. I am a rinse addict! :)
Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
Oh my God...CV bars smell like a hippie steeped in peat moss for eighty-six years, doused with rabid raccoon urine and served over the flaming fires of Hell.
I adore perfumes and scents, even myrrh and hickory and cigar smoke, but these...Jesus.
Re: The Shampoo Bar Thread
I love CV bars! Summer Sunshine is my favorite. Now if I could only afford a water softener...
But ACV rinses will work nicely until I can get one. :)

I take it you like the rosemary oil? At least, I suspect that is the culprit, as I like all of the other ingredients. I cook with freshly grown rosemary from my garden, or dried, and I love it then, but...
