Re: Any Super-Shorties Out There???
I shaved my head earlier this year. Really just because I wanted to. At first I was going to try and keep it short, then grow out a pompadour. I haven't trimmed it in three months, and I am ready to have my long hair back! It is a shaggy mess, but any trimming will just be a temporary fix, so I'm inclined to just let it go. It was fun to have a shaved head for a while.

I feel that. Having a shaved head was great, really makes ya features stand out and the maintenance is basically nonexistent. Heavenly! Totally feeling the shaggy mess thing though, it's been a couple months since my last trim and oooh boi it's looking bad. Plus my hair's now long enough to flop into my face if I don't hold it back with pins/clips/headbands (why are all headbands so tight I have complaints).

Mine is being a bit more tame and mostly staying out of my face. The only headband I wear is my old one from when I was a kid because all the new ones are way too tight!
I've cut my hair short many times and the difference in thickness was never a permanent issue. I think it is just the way it feels. You never see how much you're shedding when it's so short.
Re: Any Super-Shorties Out There???
Hello! I’ve been in and out of the super-shorties thread for years now and the longest my hair has ever been was APL in 2016. Until I cut it all off because of school stress. I am an ”emotional haircutter” lol. This time my hair was barely shoulder length when I cut it, because I just had a baby and my life was turned upside down. (Also the shedding after giving birth is NO JOKE, I thought I was going bald by my temples but it has finally grown back now 7 months later). So now I have been growing out a super short undercut pixie for two months so I think it’s in ”Classic pixie territory” by now. I am also growing out chemical damage from trying to dye my hair a natural shade after lots of crazy dyes. Loooord give me patience lol!
Re: Any Super-Shorties Out There???
My top layers are now around ear level. The sideburn area is my most annoying bit right now. I wear a headband everyday to work, and sometimes a hat on the weekend. I ordered some barrettes from Amazon but I think it will take another inch of growth before I can wear them. I can’t call this look a shag or a mullet, it’s just blahhh for now.

Welcome back to the super shorties thread in that case. Congrats on the baby! The patience is the hardest part at least that's what I'm finding. I feel you on that last part too. Had to completely bleach my hair to get residual purple dye out of it last year before colouring it back to a natural colour and it felt pretty badly damaged.

Thank you! Did you have to cut the damage or have you managed to grow it out anyway?
Re: Any Super-Shorties Out There???
My shortest layers are almost to the top of my ears and I finally have enough weight to somewhat control the monster but I still have to pin it back most days. The biggest annoyance at this stage is the bangs, short enough not to pin up easy but long enough to poke me in the eyes and always look greasy.
Part of me really want to trim the bang but at the same time, I want them long enough to put in a ponytail.

Im trying to go bang-less myself this time. I have a nice forehead so why not show it to the world, right? And hair touching my face in general drives me batty.

I damaged it with the intent to shave my head (colour without consequences haha) so unfortunately no experience growing it out. There is a thread for growing out dye though here https://forums.longhaircommunity.com...ad.php?t=51155 maybe they'd be more helpful :)
