strange smell after using mayo?

any ideas on getting the wet doggie smell out of your hair after using mayo? does homemade mayo have a different after scent?maybe it's the type of oil?

hair jim, I'm honestly not sure how to answer you, because I've never been aware of a 'wet doggie' smell after mayo!

After henna, yes - mayo, no...

All I can suggest is using extra strong perfumed shampoo/conditioner - and maybe re-washing sooner than you would normally have done? :D

What did you put in the mayo anyway?

I second a smelly shampoo to wash it out, mayo does smell but i like it on my hair, even if my nose objects
