I purchased some indigo to cover my mom's grey with the 2 step henna ingigo process and the hair turned orange. The indigo which I bought online from a station in India smells strongly of ammonia!
Is there any reliable sources from your experience that sells quality indigo in India?I searched Mehendi.com and Henna sooq but,500 grams cost about 32 $ and the shipping charges to India is another 32$,which for me is not a good deal.Do you have any ideas to offer please?:)

For lack of a better idea, maybe you should contact Henna Sooq and ask her if she can point you toward a supplier in India. I believe she orders many of her products from there -- she might be able to give you an in-country option.

Hi There,

I am from India and always purchase Indigo from ebay, it is available in India and you will find all sorts of herbs and EOs there. Plus delivery is also fast with good quality.

I never found Indigo in shops in Delhi so now order online only. Bough a kilo last time and its quite economical.

HTH :)
