I have 2 leftover squares of Lush Caca Brun I'd like to use up for glosses. Problem is - I don' want any more indigo in my hair. Right now my thoughts are:

1. Put the Caca in the freezer for a couple of days.

2. Use very hot (but still not boiling) water for the mix.

3. Add a bit of lemon juice to the mix.

4. Let the mix stand a few hours before applying it to hair.

Will this be enough to kill the indigo? Any other ideas will be appreciated :)

Ive used the lush brun in the past and mixed it boiling water, it didnt kill the indigo for me. If you dont want the indifo why not just use a red henna powder?

I use henna, but I have some leftover Caca and I'd hate for it to go to waste :D

If you're in Canada so shipping would be reasonable, I've got about 40g of Moroccan henna from Henna Sooq that I'd swap you for the caca. It's 2010 crop but has been kept in the freezer and I just used a bit last week and got really good, fast dye release.

Too late :( I already put the Caca in the freezer. I also don't live in Canada, although I'm in Montreal often.
