I'm wanting to try the soapnuts foam wash (http://www.longhaircommunity.com/forums/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=95) but I wanted to know if aritha can darken or stain hair? I know shikakai can do this so wanted to check. And can I use any soap nuts? Like these made for laundry? I have tried this and I did not notice any darkening, but my henna got rather washed out by it. I used a spritser or a mister bottle when I applyed it, I thought that was easier. It smells like boiled fruits when you wash it, I really don´t like that smell but it is all gone when the hair is dry.

I think sopnuts are soapnuts, it is the same thing as aritha or reetha. I used both soapnuts and reetha and it was the same.

A bit OT, but I use shikakai and I haven't noticed any darkening.
