Looks like an interesting techinique that's really easy and something I think I could sleep in.

The way she 'bundles' her hair to make the waves is exactly what I do to my sleep braid with a scrunchie to stop it getting trapped under me. I've never tried it with loose (unbraided) hair - I'll have to give it a go. Thanks! :)

This seems interesting, my hair is not long enough to fold my hair as much as she does her hers... however I'm giving this a try on my hair and see if it works on my current hair length.

I tried the first link method, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH12e...eature=related

Here are the results fresh.

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g88/REfusion88/WireCurls_2-11-6-11-1.jpg

Pros:
- It really does make the hair curls lots.
- Comfortable to sleep in
- Consider easy to do it, especially for longer hair from BSL++ onwards.

Cons:
- Only the bottom part of the hair will curl. (Personally looks quite weird for people who have straight hair) Perhaps needs some time for the curl to become looser.
- Curls are not as defined.

Will monitor how long this will last.

I'm trying out the second link method tonight, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OincN9LzDo
Will post results by tomorrow.

You have inspired me to give it a go tonight. My hair is dry though but I'll give it a go anyway.

ETA: I just watched a bunch of her videos and I'm keen to try out pin curls again. her Kardashian inspired video gives curls "to die for". They are gorgeous. I did try pin curls once and it really didn't work for me but maybe my hair was too wet to begin with. I'm finding that I'm better off with dry hair to start.

It's great to see someone giving so many heat free options that actually look as good as the heat ones.

Ok so here is mine after taking out 1 and a half hours ago, going out into a wet and windy day. I'm ok with it - good for waves but it really just looks like my hair does normally after brushing and the second day. Nightbloomings panacea is brilliant - it really takes the frizzies out and my hair just drinks it up. My hair is a little haloish at the top due to the weather.

I'm going to try the pin curl thing again. I really do like curl look better than waves on me at the moment, although waves do have their place and normally I'm wearing it that way.

Ooo I love this. Unfortunately for me my hair isn't nearly as thick as her's so I don't get the cool sectioned look of the french twist.

I tried it last night but rope-braided each section of hair before twisting it up around the sock. I used six socks to section my hair. My hair always takes a curl well and is pretty wurly to begin with, this morning it is very curly indeed!

I'll try to post a picture later :-)

Your hair looks beautiful here, maybe i should get some of that Panacea i suffer badly with frizz and it gets so dry on the ends apart spray the ends and adding oil there's nothing else that works.

I'm telling you, this stuff is gold for me. See how the hair at the top is kind of fuzzy? Well that's how all my hair normally is but I've been putting panacea on my hair from the ears down every day now, it totally sinks in and my ends are so nice now. I'm going to put it all the way through root to tip tonight and see how my hair goes at the top.

Voila, super curly sockcurl hair! I think it looks more curly than in my signature and avatar photos , anyway.
Sorry for lack of definition in picture, I'm still geting used to my cameraphone!

No problem:)

Well last night girls i tried the first method were you do this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VH12exAL1Dg bundle i think she called it. I tried it on still damp washed hair smoothed a little oil through my damp hair and bundled the hair and this is what it looked like after the waves had dropped a bit at first my hair was shoulder length!

Thanks for the links! They look really interesting. I watched a couple of them but I have Hughes net & my download time is almost out, so I bookmarked the page to watch the others later. (DARN HUGHES net, that is the trouble with it, they hardly give you any time for watching you tube video's)
I like the French Twist one, that looks like a cute style for the day time also. Is it damaging to your hair to rope braid it much?
She looks like she has a lot of video's that are interesting. I book marked her web page.

Thank you for showing her tutorials!

Here are the results of trying out this curling me method from this youtube video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foKhwrr0h-8&feature=related

I did not put any mousse on my hair, except my regular protein cream on my hair ends after every time I shampoo and condition my hair. I wait till my hair is 95% dry then I started to use this curling method.

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g88/REfusion88/Curls14-6-11-1.jpg
This is fresh results after removing the 2 hair bands after overnight.
I will need to start the half up higher up of my head to avoid the weird bulging

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g88/REfusion88/Curls_214-6-11-1.jpg
This is after combing and tidying up my hair a little.

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g88/REfusion88/Curls_314-6-11-1.jpg
After 3 hours, the curls are not lasting, perhaps I did not put in mousse or hair spray to hold the curls.

Okay, I'm going to try this curling method and will post by tomorrow or in 8 hours time :)

That looks good too FuFu. I like the fresh results the best. Did you try on wet or dry hair?

I tried the pincurls last night on dry hair from this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFrQSM7L7MU I made the error of using actual curlers on the bottom and my bottom layer sprung up like Shirley Temple. The pincurls looked amazing at first - just like in the video and if I wasn't rushing my two children out of the door at 7:25am this morning, I would have taken a picture. This is my hair after 8 hours - nothing amazing and it actually looks BSL because of my disappearing bottom layer. It's ok.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2540/5831726605_b5efb705bd.jpg

I think I would use this method if I was going to be home all day and was going out somewhere special that night. I would just put my hair all in the pincurls including the bottom layer and leave it for about 6 - 8 hours, take down, shake it out and wear.

So far my favourite result is from the curlers I used in this thread

julliams: I used on 95% dry hair with protein cream on hair ends. I realized if my hair is too damp, the curls won't form.

For the second link that im doing right now, I use it on slightly damper hair about 80% damp with tresemme thermal creations curl activator spray, not sure if this works okay as it is used for people who want to curl their hair using curling ion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbYN9...ure=grec_index does not work for me :( Perhaps i removed too fast after 5 hours. Does make my hair look more volumise but no defined waves.

Loving this thread!

I have been trying the pin/sock curls from the Kardashian vid and I can't get any of the pin curls to actually stay in overnight except for my bangs :(

The sock curls do not come out looking like hers either. I think I'm wrapping mine the same way as she is, but they look scraggley.

I used tresseme shaping milk when my hair was damp, then by the time I started actually doing the pin and sock curls, my hair was dry. So I sprayed it with water mixed with coconut oil as I was adding in the pin/sock curls.
