OK I am going away in 13 days for 3 weeks in Malaysia, so its going to be hot. My hair is hennaered will the sun have any effect on my hair?
My hair is naturally dark blond/ light brown with natural copper highlights which normally gets sun streaks, does this happen with hennaered hair? Like I am thinking although the henna wont fade, my hair underneath will. Is this correct? and if it does lighten my hair under the henna will I end up with orange hair?
Thanks in advance xxx

Your hair might lighten up a bit, but it wil not turn to orange, so don't worry. How did your hair react to the sun before your henna?

My hair got blonde streaks in the sun when it was all virgin.
As long as it doesnt go orange, i am liking the colour. I do wear a hat in the sun, but I cant when I am swimming!
eta this is a photo of my virgin colour as you see it has natural highlights, these would go a lot lighter in the sun http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l283/joanna_eglin/CIMG0008.jpg

I live in Sunny Florida and spend a lot of time outside. I have not noticed any effect of sun on the color of my hair.
Bright light makes it glow orange, but it is orange anyway LOL

Henna acts a little bit like sun protection. Have you seen the photo at hennaforhair of a woman who had a henna painting and then got tanned? She had a reverese tan.
Henna will protect our hair from the sun, of all people who have hennaed hair I have not heard of a single person who has reported lightening from the sun.

This ^^
Henna is used as a coolant as well. In India it is often used on the soles of the feet to help protect them from the hot ground (traditionally).
To add to the protection you could use sesame oil which has an spf of approx 4 from what i remember but also things like hats. I'm sure you know all the usual care in the sun advise though.
Enjoy Malasia :)
