Oiling after indigo

I did a 2-step henna/indigo today and it looks like this one is finally going to stick to my grays. I don't want to do anything to jeopardize it. I'm going to give it a good 48 hours to settle before I even consider washing it, but does anyone know if if oiling will affect the indigo?

I don't oil nor wash for at least 48 hours, but that may just be a superstition of mine. I've never tried doing it earlier. I do put 2 Tbsp. of EVOO in my henna (after dye release) & indigo mix, and haven't noticed lighter color nor fading.
