If you apply a mixture with either henna or cassia before the dye release, will you get the advantages that comes with these treatments, but without the colour?

I hate to tell you but the conditioning comes with the color, they're not separate things.

Judging by your avatar, though, you could use cassia full-strength and I'm sure you'd see little to no color change at all! And even if you did it'd fade in a few weeks.

Henna, on the other hand, if you don't want red that lasts forever, don't risk it! :scared:

Ah, thats what i feared. Thank you :). I have been thinking of doing cassia though, but i am afraid of colourchange. Maybe i should try it anyway, cassia fades, unlike henna, right?

Yep, cassia fades :) It'll take about 3-4 weeks, but it will. If you want it to fade faster you can just do some heavy oilings along with a stronger shampoo, but like I said, given your hair color, I'd be VERY surprised if you saw much in the way of color change at all! Maybe a titch more gold to your hair, but noticing it may also be a sort of placebo effect :ponder:

I will second nightshade's comment about using cassia full on without any color. I've used cassia (which I have let sit for hours) twice back to back and it has not altered my color at all.

I will pick up my Cassia order from the post office tomorrow and will do a strand test first.

I am really excited to use Cassia. :cheese:
