I was looking for Castor oil in a store today and couldn't find it. In what section of a store should I be looking? What kind of items will be also located in the same area? I guess I'm asking what department of a store it would be found in...

Or would it be better to buy it online? Is there one brand that people like more than others?

I found mine in the haircare isle at whole foods. Since castor oil is primarily used for medicinal purposes (relaxing sore muscles, laxative...) it may be around similar products like ice packs, exlax, bandaids, or pain meds. If you visit a natural health care store you will definatly run in to it there.

I get mine in the same aisle as the stomach remedies at my local Walmart. It is very inexpensive.

I got my at Kmart in the hair care section. They have a whole area of oils and such for medicinal purposes.

Same, it's used as a laxative so right in that section.

At my Wal-mart it's in the pharmacy section near the laxatives. Very inexpensive...$3, I think. :)

Thanks! I was at Target, checked all those places and didn't see any. They just must not carry it, I guess. I'll check Fred Meyer tomorrow, or Trader Joes.

If not Target, try your pharmacy. I am pretty sure my local Walgreen's carries it.
