I came to think of this when i wrote about it in another thread. Recently i have been mixing coconut oil and AVG in a small bottle for easier use, since i already use them both.
I love the consistence, since the oil melts much faster with some AVG in it. And it feels sort of silky between your fingers.
Anyone else does this?

I haven't tried it but most certainly will. I really like coconut oil but I'm having problems with it being too hard in the winter and if some AVG solves this it would be great.

Well, i see you live in Sweden, me too, and it works great during the cold months we have here. :)
Let me know how it works out for you. I have mixed mine in a jar from åhléns. The small ones you can buy for traveling and fill with what you want.

Ok so really silly question but, what is AVG?

ETA ah, aloe vera gel - clearly a brainfart morning here!

I really love AVG as well. I wrote in another thread about my leave-in-conditioner/daily styling product home-made mix. It is distilled water, Aubrey Organics conditioner, lots of organic AVG, Camelia oil, Amla oil, Tee Tree (EO), Palmarosa (EO), and a dash of honey. Is a wonderful styling product, and leaves my hair super healthy.

I'm just curious....Do you spray this on, and if so how much do you use? Do you find this leaves your hair oily at all? I've tried some different mixes like this myself but I find it weighs my hair down and I can only use it before bedtime...

I use coconut oil at night, or just after a shower. I haven't found a need for any hair styling products since :)
I think I am going to try using the Aloe Vera Gel now as well. Could you please give me some advice on how to use it, or how much? Do I use it just like coconut oil and same tiny amount, or much more?

Thinking of this made me question what the benefits might be of rinsing my hair in aloe juice? Any one heard of that as a final rinse in the shower or something?

When I have my hair pulled into a bun, I need something to smooth down my frizzies. A blob of AVG with some drops of oil (any oil -- I usually have Sweet Almond Oil or Grapeseed handy, but Coconut works too!), mixed together in my hands and smoothed over my head, works great!

Do you have Walmart in your area? They carry Fruit of the Earth (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fruit-Of-The-Earth-Aloe-Vera-Gel-12-oz/10314797) brand pure aloe in the hand lotion / sunburn care area (just make sure you get the clear kind, not the green kind with medicine in it).
