Hi
I am just wondering has anyone achieved the colour of Kate Winslets hair in titanic?
I have noticed in different pictures it looks different shades like henna does
Can you achieve a similar shade with straight henna.
I prefer the deeper richer shades in her pictures rather than the coppery lighter pictures.

I have some PP and celebration in my freezer.

my hair colour is this at the moment without the temp red foils I have in... my last henna streaks faded .

Those shades can certainly be achieved by using henna, but unfortunately only for people with blonde hair. I'm afraid your hair is too dark for these shades. But you could get a beautiful warm red glow.

I agree.....you would have to seriously lighten your hair to achieve those colors.....

I always hendigoed in the past so it was black but its now almost virgin with a few faded henna only streaks.

Ooh, well that glow certainly looks great on you!! I'm not sure why the henna streaks faded on you. Did you only apply it once? Henna often fades after the first application, but tends to be very (very!!) permanent once you've got multiple layers of it on your hair.

If you have hennaed your hair more often than once, could you perhaps tell us something about your hair care routines? Some products and treatments can cause henna fading (for some).

I always used henna in the past without fading, so haven't a clue why this time. I am using shea and coconut oil now and again and no suplhates/cones and thats the only difference than last time. My hendigo was still vibrant 2 years later whilst growing out when I was pregnant and breast feeding, so no idea why the streaks faded so quickly.
I applied the streaks twice, but its too virgin hair, maybe a few whole heads will stop the fading?

My prior hendigo was over old chemically dyed hair.

I only use henna from catherine or henna sooq so its good henna.

Her haircolor is almost identical to what I achieve with henna, but my virgin hair is much, much lighter than yours - a medium blonde.

funny - when I looked at Kate Winselt's Titanic hair I immediately thought of your hair color! I was going to respond with Jamila giving that cool copper color but thought fairystar's hair is too dark anyway.

fairystar have you looked at henna huts henna? those seem to show up better on darker hair.

Hmm, sometimes super healthy virgin hair takes a little longer for henna to stick to, so that might be the problem now. Is your virgin hair much healthier than it used to be? Also, do you do oil deep treatments? For some people this pulls out some of the henna. But ofcourse, for others it doesn't do squat to their color. Aah, henna, it isn't exactly an exact science, now is it?

I'd say your hair's too dark to get there without lightening. You can get that color with henna with hair as dark as light brownish, though. That's about the color I have, with henna over titian hair.
