I have come to understand that a clarify also should be compensated by a rinse with club soda because the minerals can't be removed by simply using a clarifying shampoo, am i right? So, can you only use club soda to Chelate, or is there other options? And what is it in the club soda that binds minerals?
I have also read somewhere that oil can be used to Chelate, is it just some metals that goes away with the club soda so you have to use the oil to compensate, or is oil just another option?
Haha, lady of the thousand questions! I hope you can fill me in om chelating, because im clueless and does'nt seem to find anything in my searches. :)

Club soda does not chelate from information I researched. It can help break up mineral deposits and neutralize chlorine, http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=article&articleid=115. It is not a product clarifyer. People were getting confused, http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=55391.

Yeah, I was one of the confused! lol ;)
Now I do club soda rinse after swimming and monthly to help break up minerals on my hair.
Oh, it's best to empty the club soda into a bottle and heat it up under warm running water...the can will explode if you let it sit under running water.....(don't ask. ;) ) That experiment sure packed a bang...

LOL, sorry! I could not help that. Just take it out of the fridge and let it warm up to room temperature. I do that with my catnip tea.
