So I have 7 ripe avocados (I forgot to eat them earlier and I can't possibly eat them all today), and I've always heard that avocado masks are good for hair. Does anyone have any recipes or any experience with them?
Thank you!

I've mixed them with egg and olive oil before and left it on my head for an hour or so, covered with a plastic bag. I think I remember the avocados chunks being hard to get out, but maybe it just wasnt ripe enough. Make sure you mush it up really well.

I mixed a very ripe avocado with yogurt and a squirt of honey a couple of weeks ago. It looked terrible and was a mess, but it didn't smell too bad and my hair felt very soft afterward. I left it on for an hour or so before rinsing.

I've never tried avocado in my hair, but avocados are full of good oils so I imagine they would make a fine mask.
On the other hand, they would also make a killer guacamole.

I have mashed up ripe avocados and mixed it with egg yolk, honey and coconut oil. I put it in my hair and slept on it. It was sort of hard to wash out the chunks, I'd recommend combing in the shower with conditioner to get it all out.
You've reminded me, now I should do this treatment again!

I made a raid through the kitchen when I had Avocados in the house and ended up with; Avocados (8D), Honey, EVOO, Amla, Cassia, Herbal Henna, Argan oil, a squirt of castor oil and once I also had murumuru butter. I may have forgotten something in here but I think that's it. Threw it all into a blender before I spread it all over my hair and covered it with a plastic wrap and a towel for and hour before I rinsed it out with conditioner. :) My hair loved it!

I use a Ripe avocado mixed with yogurt and melted coconut oil and leave it in my hair for an hour... Make sure you cover your head with a hot towel. :):p

Oh I could totally eat avocados all day :) send them my way!
Hairwise: I've never tried the actual fruit in any recipes in my hair, but I've heard lots of good things about avocado hair masks, I have been wanting to try it for a while, but honestly, I would probably just end up eating it ahaha :p
I have, however, just tried olive + avocado oil on my hair for the first time today and I can feel a major difference--- very, very soft. I've changed over from using just olive oil to the Avo + Olive oil oil. I don't think I'll be going back to just OO anytime soon :)
ETA: Sticking them in the fridge should preserve them a little longer, unless you've already done that..
