I will be doing this tonight! My catnip is steeping. Purchased some organic catnip from pet store last night. I want some gray coverage. My first attempt at anything like this. *gulp*

Oh boy. I almost forgot that I have to shower today! My hair is getting a tad bit oily now and I was going to try the catnip rinse for the first time as well...
Good luck and let us know how it goes! :)

Catnip is my favourite hair- and skin treatment. I use it to my hair and to my face. It is the most wonderful (and inexpencive) treatment that really works.
I'll prepare catnip tea, use it to my face as a toner, dip my hair in it and let it work it's wonders.
Loving it.

I need to get back into the catnip treatments. I've slacked off on them after I moved and while I was trying to learn how to deal with hard water, but I my ends are splitting like crazy... maybe Catnip can work its magic again!

Results: I love the softness! No conditioner has ever made my hair this nice. Comb just glides though. I am hoping the static does not build up tomorrow. Gray coverage, not so much. It is a bit better, but I think I just didn't get enough on the very top. The side ones are not as noticeable. So I think it is my mistake and not the catnip.
Overall decision. Love it! Will continue this for sure. Will hope for more coverage next time, but if not no big deal. Happy with the softness.

Happy to hear you had such wonderful results! :) I have wanted to try catnip for a long time but aside from cutting open my cat's toys I don't know where to get it . Where did you find yours?

I have no idea what is going on but it is no longer working! I am doing the exact same thing and it is not working. My hair tangled and snarled the last time. This time I used some leave in. I used the same shampoo, brewed the catnip same way and time, left it in for an hour with a bag on it, rinsed it out. I am so disappointed. I loved it so much the first time. Grrr. I will try one more time....

I have used it for over 5 years now and experimented for 2 of those years to get my routine right, lol. Patience.
If you are not using other products that can cause build-up you may not have washed enough catnip off your length this last time.
I do not put extra shampoo on my length except rarely and literally one drop, but I do work the lather from my scalp through the length when washing. Catnip can penetrate hair somwhat when bagged but it coats the hair somewhat too.
I remove enough of the catnip each time, although, not all if the stain is not removed every time, that I have 0 build-up problems between shampoos.

Ding ding ding. I think you have hit on it! I don't hardly use any shampoo down my length. Just my scalp. OK so next time I will use a little more shampoo down to the ends. Thanks so much! You are truly hair brilliant. Patience is not one of my strong points to say the least. But this is worth continuing to figure out.
