So I saw a deep-conditioning recipe involving avocado, honey, and EVOO. It sounded like a good idea and I have the ingredients. I was just wondering a couple of things. Has anyone else tried avocado? Did it work? Also, I've heard that honey might not be the best thing to use in the winter, but I'm not sure. Do you think it would still work if I warmed it to negate the honey lightening effects? Sorry for the endless questions- I'm a deep-conditioning newbie :)

I LOOOVE avocado hair masks!!! I do avocado, banana and mayonnaise and it works so well!. Can't offer much advice on the honey though! :(

Nuking the honey should stop the honey from doing it's hair lightening thing.
Avocado is great stuff, and avocado oil is one of the only other oils besides coconut that can actually penetrate hair. It tends to be sticky and green in pure oil form, though, so it doesn't get much time in the spotlight. :)

Avacado is awesome by itself or with mayo or honey and oil. Makes hair less frizzy and very smooth

I've used soaked ground oatmeal, avocado, and mayonaise with a touch of ACV. Doesn't exactly smell the greatest but it works!
