My hair, at 33" is as long as it's ever been. I think the longest before this was BSL when I was little.

Probably halfway between BSL and waist, in the early 90's.

This is the longest my hair has ever been :) It's 40" and just past my hips. I'll be cutting about 2" next week during my annual trip to the salon :p

well....a couple years ago, when it was wet in the shower, it came to about 2 inches above waist....alas now gone and back to boring short haired dude again.....sighhhhhhhhhh

At it's longest layer, my hair is just about hip length when stretched. This is the longest it has ever been, as far as I can remember.

The longest my hair has ever been is knee length.

It's currently right between APL & BSL.

My ultimate goal is terminal, but I'll be thrilled when I'm back at knee.

Not counting the few inches I just chopped off ( :( ), this is the longest my hair has ever been--29". I kept it shoulderlength (or thereabouts--I couldn't be bothered to get it trimmed that often) for a long time, and then discovered LHC.

Classic length when I was 10/11.

Currently at 46" with 3 hairs at 47". They grew an inch more than the rest, normal 1/2 inch for the rest, this month. Now if only the rest of my hair grew like that....

The longest after that was about 3 years ago, tailbone when pulled straight.

It was mid-thigh at 49" two years ago before I cut it.

I have had TBL hair - or, the longest hairs were actually a little longer, because they made it into the vertical smile when I was in the shower... :p I measured in a different way back then, but I have tried two different ways to convert that length to LHC measurement and both calculations gave 39" as result. Tailbone is 38" on me and one inch past it really makes sense to what I remember my length to have been.

When i was a kid i think it got past classic. Then i looped it off, i still have the braid which reaches TB on me now. (i didn't grow much!!!)
I think considering nearly all the hairs were split, if i look after it right this time round i think i can get it to my knees, If i keep it there for years and years i can get it looking decent, coz my lopped plait has loads of taper at the ends!!

Can't wait. I'm almost at waist now!

My hair is the longest it's ever been right now at hip length now that it's grown back what I lost at the last trim.

The longest mine has ever been is 53". It's at about 51 1/2 inches now.

The longest I allowed my hair to reach was at calves - 64".

In 33 inches, I'll have it back. If I wait a few years. Sigh. :o

Currently my hair is at it's longest (33.25"). Before LHC I had no clue how to take care of my waves so I had a false terminal of bsl.

My hair reached classic, before I cut it to shoulder-length last month.

When I was a little girl, my hair was around waist length (and straight!!!)

When I was fifteen my hair was waist length. I then got it permed and cut--one of the worst things I've ever done to my hair. So I'm hoping it will at least get to waist again.

I think that my current length of 71cm is the longest I've had my hair. This has been the only time I've measured the length of my hair so I am not certain yet, as soon as I get to waist length I'll know it's the longest I've ever had my hair.

BSL when I was a teenager, it's almost back to that now, I'm not sure if i'll ever be able to grow beyond BSL but i'm going to have a real good try! :)

My current lenght 70cm/27,5". I've had this lenght couple of times before but for some reason hairdressers have always hacked 2-3" off when I've gone for 0,5" trim. But not this time, this baby is going to grow. :D

Longest for me was ankle lenght, not something I'd recommend :p. You just keep on stepping on it so you have to keep it up all time. Did I mention TANGLES yes? LOL.

Hip/TB as it is right now. I had never been beyond waist before, if I ever got to that (I have just looked through photos of me from a couple of years ago and my hair was much shorter than I remembered).

My hair is currently the longest it has ever been. I was hoping to baby it along until I reached my next goal (TB). I am about 2" away from the goal and in need of a big trim. It may take longer than I hoped!

My longest was between tailbone and classic, but it used to annoy me not being able to wear it down, and it tucking into my jeans. It was that length a few years ago, when I was about 17.

I've never had hair much past shoulder length. It's a bit difficult for me to imagine my hair much longer. I'm not certain how long I will grow my hair but if I ever get it to even waist length I will be amazed.

I think the longest my hair was at 18 was almost to waist length. i didn't pay much attention to the length back then though. I just know it covered my breast sorry if TMI..and that right now would be about 2inches from waist.

Mine was tailbone length in January 2006 when it was taken away from me. I don't know if I'll grow that long again, but I will have longer than BSL again (and no more "stylists" that only want to hack off feet of hair without telling their clients!).

I was classic as a child, but in my mature life I'd say waist.

My hair was hip length until I donated 11+ inches to Locks Of Love in May of 2004.

Upper thigh/fingertip length. I much prefer it between BSL and tailbone.

Mine is TB, which is the longest it's ever been. It was TB until I chopped it when I was 11, but I was a bit shorter then. ;)

Classic - when I was about six years old. Other than that, I think this is the longest. I really ought to measure to see for sure!

I'm not sure exactly how long it was when I was around 16, but if it's not the longest it's ever been about now, it's going to be soon.

And the condition is MUCH, MUCH BETTER. I brushed ripping through my hair, I shampooed every day IN COLORADO with no conditioner... etc. Split city.

My current length, which is waist, wavy. It's been this length many times in the past, but never longer. So I'm just barely starting onto the unchartered territory here.

I'm pretty sure my hair is currently at the longest it has ever been -- just a bit past 41 inches, which is classic on me.

My hair is currently at its longest length, just touching classic. Well, some of it IS classic length and the rest is past tailbone, I have uneven ends at the moment.

I like my hair at hip/tailbone length and I may trim it back to those lengths, I want to see what another inch or two of even length looks like on me first.

The longest I ever had my hair was waist length when I was 21 years old. It would be nice to get there again.

My longest ever must have been at about 37 inches, that was 3 years ago. Now I am nearing that again, but this time with much fuller ends.. two more inches or so to go and it will be a whole new experience, longer than it ever was :P

I have longer hair now that I ever had. In highschool, I had gotten it to just above waist before I cut it all off. I'm now down to tailbone. Can't wait to hit classic.

Umm I had pretty long hair when I was very little. . say close to waist length. . I'm pretty sure right now I am at the same length or near it. Can't wait to get to waist length and beyond!

I'm not sure really, I didn't measure before chopping it all off. I'd say it was 23-24", which is between APL and BSL on me.

I had it waist-length when I was eleven, but I was several inches shorter then (my wee sister, who was the same size in September as I was at the same age, is the same age I was then now and is up to about my nose).

A few weeks ago it was just getting past 40" (tailbone length on me) and I trimmed 5" off to get rid of thin ends and the U shape. I loved the length for the most part but hated how my ends and hemline looked.

About an inch above tailbone, this is the longest my hair has ever been.

The longest mine has been was BSL about two years ago. I cut it and added layers, so even though it is reaching BSL again, not all my hair is that long.

Mine was 40+ inches and at classic when I cut back to 26 inches in January 2007 because of old dye damage.

BSL or so in 2004. Of course, I didn't know how to care for it properly so in the end I got fed up and cut it. :(

When I got married the first time, and for a couple years after, (around college age +) my hair was at truly hip length.
During assignment to hot, humid area after assignment to hot humid area as a military wife, i slowly trimmed it up to an adorable chin length bob, and later to a boy-short hairdo. Then it slowly re-grew to long hair again. I loved my shorter hairdos but I could never get used to the trimming schedule! LOL! That's the real reason it grew back out. I just never got used to 6 week appointments rather than 6 months. LOL Now it's grown because i've just been too out of my mind busy and poor to get to a salon for trims.

At the end of August of last year, it was 34 inches I think - solidly hip length. I trimmed 3 inches or so, and it's grown back now probably (I haven't measured recently). So, right now is the longest at definitely hip length.

Brushing the tops of most of my pants, before my most recent trim. I think it was just over 36". I feel like it's taking forever to get back to that length after a 2"-3" trim...I really liked it.

Mine had just reached knee length at the beginning of last summer. However, I spent that school year (nine months) in China and refused to let anyone cut my hair for fear that I wouldn't be able to communicate what I wanted and I would end up with some short Chinese haircut, which meant the ends were bad by the time I came home. Right now it's midthigh, maybe three or so inches above my knee?

Update: I just saw pictures from the last time my hair was this long, and indeed, I do have hair longer than I have ever had before in my life. Thank you, thank you very much. Really, you can stop the applause at any moment.

When I wore my hair straight, the longest ti was was to my waist. I miss it! Its almost there when I straighten now, but I want it at that length when its curly!

My longest was about an inch above waist when I was 18. Now, it's the longest it's been since 2002.

The longest I measured was 31 inches, just 1 1/2 inches from my waist. Now it's 21 inches, so I have a very long way to go (again), :) However, this time I have so much great hair info under my belt that I didn't have before.

About 2 or 3 inches beyond classic at the tips. I found the only annoying thing at that length was sitting on it or having others sit on it. Otherwise it was a lot less fuss than what I was expecting.

I think that the longest my hair has ever been is about 3 inches (maybe more like 4) past BSL, but the ends were really damaged.

I was on a student exchange and that's what I cam out with, but I hadn't gotten it trimmed at all, except what I took off myself with scissors that were intended for paper. I really didn't want a hair-related misunderstanding, or razor-cut layers by people who only knew how to handle Asian hair.

I hope to surpass this length.

My longest layers are probably the longest my hair has ever been... just a few inches past shoulder. Most of my hair has yet to catch up! I had just past shoulder length hair once before as a child.

I've only had really long hair once before, almost 30 years ago. In my mid-20s it was 4" above my knees.

If you mean comparatively, like compared to body size, the longest mine ever was would have been when I was a child, it was down to my thighs.

If you mean in inches, this is probably either tied with that or just a bit longer.
I have always wanted my hair to grow very long, but obstacles have... obstructed that from happening. Now I'm doing it no matter what happens. :P

My hair is the longest it's ever been right now - 22". I've had it this long several times before, but it usually begins to break, split, thin, and generally look bad right about now. This time it's feeling nice and healthy, so I thought, "Why not see if it will go longer?" So here I am, trying to find out how best to help it do that.

When I was 17 I had pretty long hair, maybe the same length it is now but I really have no clue. I also had fairly long hair at 19.

It's sloooooowly approaching that length again now. I'm not sure how long I want to grow it yet. I'm thinking I'll let it get to hip- or tailbone-length and then trim regularly for a while to get rid of some of the more damaged bits while maintaining that length. After that, we shall see.

I don't know the length in inches, but my hair was past my bum. I would have to move it to the side or I would end up sitting on it. That was when I was much younger, though.

My length yesterday was as long as it's ever been - 48". I just trimmed off some fairy tail ends totalling about 2", but it doesn't bum me out - they were pretty straggly. I want a straighter hair line with thickness all the way down to 48" - probably another 4 to 6 months yet. We'll see how I feel about growing it any longer once I meet that goal!

right now with bsl. all my childhood i had about shoulder length because i hated the knots and the brushing (my mum could get brutal with my hair and it hurt so much...). now i brush it myself i sometimes think it could be easier with shorter hair again but i am a long hair lover so i will not cut my hair. never!

Longest ever is just below BSL and that was a week ago - just had to trim and inch off it due to way too many splits, now back to BSL.

As a kid i think i had about thigh length before my mum lopped it all off. Ive grown it to hip since but then slowly trimmed that away because i killed it. I'm still going through the regrowth process and still trimming remaining damage.

mid-back a few times between ages14-16. Never got longer because I kept getting bribed by my mother to please get a hair cut. She made it worthwhile for me a couple of times. Seriously.

The longest was just shy of BSL, but it was really damaged and straggly. Now it’s just to my shoulders, but it is in very good condition. Thank you LCH!!

My waist is the longest mine has been. That is also my goal. I just loved the way it felt and looked. I'll be there again some day.

I forget all the specialty terminology you guys use (I haven't been here for a long time), but I tend to stall out at about mid-hip length or so... somewhere in between 36 and 40" I believe. I got a trim at the beginning of the year, so I'm back to about 33" now but my edges are much blunter and thicker; they were very wispy and uneven before.

I have that exact same problem. There's about 6" or so that is quite thin indeed, but I can't bear to cut it. shudder: What did you do to thicken the ends up? Do you think maintaining my length for awhile will solve the problem?

Knees when I was a kid for several years. I was also about 4'8 at the time, so I don't know what the technical length was. Nowadays, it stays around waist/tailbone.

The length it is now. Well, unless it was longer when I was a child (I don't remember too many hair cuts!). But in adult life, I'm pretty sure this is the longest I've ever had it, almost waist length.

I stupidly would try layers, or damage it with chemical treatments and trim it back shorter. Dumb thing to do.
