I am looking for a deep conditioner that is protein free. My hair has been quite dry lately and I want to try something new. Any suggestions?

I like Aubrey Organic Honeysuckle Rose it is a very heavy conditioner. I have fine thin hair but it doesnt weigh my hair down. I can even apply a pea amount as a leave in to my dry ends because it seems to add volume to my hair.

I was about to suggest Aubrey Organic Honeysuckle Rose, but someone beat me to it! I think with my hard water, if used alone it would leave a slight film. But I combine it with a lighter-weight conditioner with EDTA (a chelator), and follow with a vinegar rinse, and that seems to strike the right balance for my fine hair. Seems complicated, I know... When applied in the shower, I can feel my hair becoming super-moisturized. Wonderful sensation! I guess the shea butter with the other oils just soaks right in.

The best conditioner I've found for my hair is Biolage Conditioning Balm. No protein, no cones but a bit pricey. I use it on the days I wash my hair and it provides excellent conditioning and slip without weighing my hair down. I love it and can't say enough good things about it.

Honeysuckle Rose and Biolage Conditioning Balm are two very good choices...I use and like both. My favorite, however, is a cone deep conditioner called L'Oreal Mega Moisture available at Sally's Beauty Supply stores in a big orange tub w/ green lid. That stuff is so moisturizing and slippery it will transform your shower into an skating rink, so be careful.

I also love the Loreal but mine is yellow with an orange lid. I wonder what the difference is it says mega moisture. Did they change the bottles I guess thats what happened I havent used this conditioner in a while, because I was cone free. I found it a while back and started using it again. I must be light cones because it doesnt build up on my hair or give the cone feel.

I would of recommended this one also but I could swear I seen cone free when I first posted.

I like the pantene time renewal deep conditioner. It is very thick and moisturizes my hair. also sunsilk used to have a good d.c. but I cant find it in our area anymore.

Yes, they repackaged them. My old ones had the orange lid but the last time I went to buy one it had changed over to green lids. Why, who knows...I kinda liked the orange/yellow color combo better.
