Aloe Vera gel is supposed to be liquid or a "gel" ? My distributer from Aubrey Organics sent me a small container saying "100 percent natural aloe vera gel" (or something like that) but it was liquid liquid like water! It had no smell no nothing..
And i have an Aloe Vera gel (sorry i dont have it here with me so that all i can say) that really looks like a gel...and it says it is 99.9 percent aloe vera.
So is it liquid or is it gel? And if it is gel why the hell Aubrey Organics has a liquid one calling it "gel" ? lol

Yes, I've heard of that too. Most of the time, the liquids don't have preservatives, and need to be refrigerated (and still go bad in a week!).

I once had an asian aloe drink in a can. I can't stand the taste of aloe, either-- I had to fight to keep from gagging after my first sip! Even worse, it had bizzare chunks of aloe jelly in there. I love bubble tea with boba, but those little chunks... plus that hyper sweet aloe-y taste... Yuck!

I have both kinds (drinking and gel meant for skin), and they are two different brands, and they are both called "gelly" (both spelled that way).

If it's 100% natural then it's supposed to be liquid. That's the type I bought. Those gels you see at the sunscreen section have thickeners added to them (and preservatives of course). You better keep the liquid one in the fridge.

The liquid (for drinking) I love in a mister (but it needs to be refridgerated). For the gel, it is Fruit of the Earth for me!

The Mountain Rose Herbs Aloe that I bought last year was a liquid also, although it was advertised as a gel. As was said above, I think you need an extra ingredient to turn it more gel-like, but the pure stuff will be more liquidy.

thank you so much girls :)
I think that it was supposed to use on skin or hair because it was from Aubrey Organics...So i dont think they would do something to drink or would they? Hmmm... the one i have for skin is 99.9 aloe vera and it really is a Gel, but from another brand (not Aubrey Organics) I will have to post the ingredients of this last one to know if its safe to use on hair... =)

A friend of mine does a treatment with a Aloe Vera and drinks its liquid ...it is supposed to do some good to your health ;)

I hear it's supposed to be good for digestion and soothing the lining of the stomach. Some friends of mine take it with fruit juice.

I've got 'mister bottle with aloe' on my accumulating LHC recomendations 'to-do list', but I'm also really trying to take Ursula's newbie advice and not try everything at once!

I have found very cheap aloe vera juice recently, but it comes in 1l-bottles, so I can't use it up before it becomes unuseable.

Can the juice be frozen? Or does freezing spoil it? Would be nice to pour the big bottle into several smaller ones and put them in the fridge (and I would get an discount, too, if I bought several bottles!).

Btw, that juice really makes a difference on my hair, soft without being crunchy (misting with water alone and oil gives me the crunch).
