I came here last year desperate to save this -

I came here to act and have start fresh but i didn't want to loose the length.
for a month or so i hovered around the web looking into ideas and i came across henna and this forum came up time and time again so i eventually caved in joined even though i wasn't much a forum gal. Everyone was helpful and helped me tweak my mix slightly before i took the final dive.
lemon juice replaced with chamomile tea. I already looked hard into the warnings about henna and then it was types to choose from and where was easier to ship to me, end result being yemeni henna from hennaboy.
My hair was bad, lost it's wave and just was a puff of dead matter, i had completely lost my love in it. I was fed up with roots and i knew i could not put my hair through another colour change or highlighting process - it felt so fragile. Orgional idea was to get my virgin colour shade back where the process didn't involve damage which is how henna came up in my searches with hendigo mixes (browns and black shades). After some thought i became aware of it's permanence and how little i could change it so i had to be 100% sure. I decided to buy indigo as a back up should henna freak me out well and truly.
So i hennaed for the first time -

The brightness of the orange and the whole change of apperance i admit i was shell socked , prepared shell shocks but still :thud:
but the condition of it  , i can tell you was the biggest relief of all , it could have been bright pink for all i care at the point.
colour did clash with my skin colour , didn't seem right so i thought before i hit any indigo which had to points flagged up in my mind as an issue -
1. The process is a little more complicated and less straight forward (henna and indigo having different release rates ect) and i do prefer simplicity.
2. should i be so crazy in future to ever change my mind and want some lightening process though i indigo would show up to a green shade.
what would be the harm in adding more henna? (worst case scenario is having black hair as an end result which i can pull off well when adding indigo after).
patience , time and lots a applications (conditioning effects where just being absorbed in anyway and with not guilt) i liked te shade more and more until i hit RED and then a few months after i beleive my black streaks under faded and the henna almost seemed to take it's place. Henna visually in my hair has evened out the colours to a plain colour but thicker and finer hair absorbs less or more making natural variations which i like.
