I saw that yemen 2006 henna is on sale @ a site for 40$ which is pretty cheap compared to 2007 crop. Was wondering if it is ok to buy it or is it too old?

Was wondering if it is ok to buy it or is it too old? As long as it's from a good supplier, I'm sure it's just fine. The people that sell henna for a living are going to store it properly, and it's probably more to get it moving and make room for the new stuff. I just picked up some 2006 Moroccan and it dyes without issuie :) Sana May 1st, 2008, 07:45 AM Thank you nightshade for the quick reply. I am going to order some. Also wanted to say that your hair is beautiful. Nightshade May 1st, 2008, 08:10 AM Awww thank you :flowers: shellblue1 May 7th, 2008, 09:31 PM Where did you find this henna? I would like to get some that cheap! :) You can pm the site to me if we can't post it on here. Thanks! Sana May 8th, 2008, 08:25 AM I think hennasooq & hennaforhair's wholesale site both have yemen 2006 on sale for 40 $ if you are interested. squiggyflop May 8th, 2008, 09:08 AM wow i love how you all think that 40$ is cheap.. i could get 4kg of henna for 40$ from my local supplier.. it dyes really great.. actually it dyes a little too well for me.. if i leave it on for more than an hour on my hair (tested on hair from hairbrush) my hair will turn burgundy.. i leave it on for about 45 minutes to an hour.. ive got about a kilogram of henna in my freezer at all times.. it costs 99 cents for every box of 100grams and there is no tax so a kg is less than 10$. chelly May 8th, 2008, 06:05 PM wow i love how you all think that 40$ is cheap.. i could get 4kg of henna for 40$ from my local supplier.. it dyes really great.. actually it dyes a little too well for me.. if i leave it on for more than an hour on my hair (tested on hair from hairbrush) my hair will turn burgundy.. i leave it on for about 45 minutes to an hour.. ive got about a kilogram of henna in my freezer at all times.. it costs 99 cents for every box of 100grams and there is no tax so a kg is less than 10$. unfortunately not all of us have local suppliers near by to buy in bulk. And considering how hair dye is roughly $12-15 a box and washes out in a month paying $6.50 for something thats permanent isnt so bad. Celebrian May 8th, 2008, 06:45 PM I actually asked Catherine herself (H4H) the other week. Her response was that my Yemen 2006 was probably a bit tired (or something like that) and I'd do better to get new supplies. That depends on whether you want violent red hair IMO. Many people just want a lovely, warm red that doesn't scream HENNA. I'm using my Yemen 2006 to dye my nails ATM and the stain is about as strong as it was about 5 months ago when I last did my nails. I'd have no qualms using it for my hair, but prefer Lush's Caca Rouge for that . shellblue1 May 12th, 2008, 01:34 AM I think hennasooq & hennaforhair's wholesale site both have yemen 2006 on sale for 40 $ if you are interested.
