Not sure if this is the right place to put this or not. Sorry if it's not, Mods! :o
Does anybody use "raw" vinegar (with the "mother" still in it) on their hair instead of the pasteurized stuff from Walmart or some place like that?

Yep! I use it as a rinse after my shampoo bars...and occasionally in recipes.

Do you see a difference (for you hair) between it and the pasteurized stuff? Assuming that you've used the pasteurized vinegar, that is.

Ostensibly the apple cider vinegar is helpful to scalp skin.
I would say avoid ACV if a blonde and instead use lemon (blonde) as an acidic based rinse for re-setting pH and removing residual product not thoroughly rinsed out.

I've used the pasteurized vinegar in my hair, but I was just curious as to whether the raw stuff did anything different or not.

I have indeed! Then I discovered the good stuff and haven't turned back :D
The biggest difference for me hairwise is the smell really. I had to hold my breath when I used the cheap stuff because to me it smells like vomit which er isn't really what I want to smell while I'm bathing. SHowering should be relaxing and not include any retching! The organic vinegar with the mother just smells like a sharper cider to me. Not quite nummy, but not objectionable either! With my super hard water I am currently using a mix of acv and citric acid.

I agree, it definitely smells better. I actually think it smells a little like honey. :) But I've gotten so used to the other stuff that it doesn't bother me much.
