I love lavender, you are such a lucky girl having a full garden of the wonderful stuff!
Lets see, what all can you do with it?
*Sachets of course
*Wrap several sprigs in cheese in cheese cloth or old panty hose and toss in your bath water.
*Make your own bath salts.Put in an air tight container along with epson salts & a bit of baking soda. Store in a dark, cool place & shaking occasionally. Once the epson salt & baking soda take on the smell of the lavender, toss the lavender. You can add colloidal oatmeal to this mix too.
*I will boil a pot of water & lavender-Makes the house smell great, and when it cools, I use it as a final rinse on my hair.

I am sure there is more, but that is all I can think of at the moment.

You could try infusing the lavender with aloe and add some distilled water to mist your hair with.

Edit: I thought you meant lavender EO, not sure how you'd do it with it fresh.

I have snipped my mom's lavender plant and boiled it in some water.Cooled and added a drop or two of jojoba oil and I also used a few drops of natural aloe juice.Being since its so sticky and sometimes pulpy-I don't use the natural aloe anymore.

This was one of my first mister bottle recipes,a few years back.I've also tried it with a few spriges of rosemary.I love to raid my mom's herb garden LOL

I think rosemary can darken hair...

yes, i heard rosemary CAN darken hair. that sounds like a good mister bottle recipe. Exactly what has it been doing for your hair?

i just like the smell of lavender, but does anyone know what "medicinal" properties it has. Well, what it does for the hair?

I stuff sprigs of lavender in my OCM bottle (EVOO) where it slowly releases it's aroma and goodness into the oil, when I clean my face.

I also found Aloe gel made a lovely face cleansing (possibly moisturising for oily skins) OCM mix for me. The first time I tried it I put the AVG straight into the bottle (with difficulty!) and shaking it up, using it as a facial cleanser gave me a lovely silky mix that spread well and left my skin comfortable.

THe second time I tried it, the oil and the aloe made a lumpy mix - don't really know why. It still gave the same silky cleansing though, so I'll maybe try that again.

I place large bits of lavender under carpets and rugs to help keep away bugs, insects and freshen the material.

I second making sachets with lavender in gauze/muslin or similar. Tie with a pretty ribbon, and place in drawers and cupboards throughout!!

Do you have any culinary lavender? If so, make infusions/add to dishes.

If in a foul mood, walk out into garden and pluck some lavender. Roll it between fingers to release fragrance and sniff deeply... ;)

Thank you Celebrian, i always enjoy your posts :) (and i also love your avatar!!).

I have one small question what is OCM? Still can't figure it out in my brain. LOL. I didn't know lavender kept bugs away. Does it also work on spiders? I have a terrible fear of them!!

I've been feeling a little down lately, maybe i'll go outside and just enjoy the sunshine and smell the lavender in the air.

Thank you for the suggestions :).

It was nice.Made my curls stand out,but the "jelly"natural aloe kept getting cloped up in my bottle sprayer. If that made any sense whatsoever LOL
