Now please, please, please don't get upset. I know that lots of people don't like the idea of using animal products in their hair and I respect that, but I eat, drink and wear animal products so I personally have no problem with also putting them on my hair or skin so far as animal welfare is insured including an organic diet and free range living conditions.
So having said all that does anyone know where to get mink oil hair products?

Sorry, I don't know any sources. I wanted to say that when I saw the thread title, I thought of the mink we've been dissecting in Anatomy lab (we named her Minkael Jackson:p).

The only mink oil I know of is the kind I put on my boots. I've got it in my hair before but since it's full of petroleum products, it's not very nice.
Edit: I suppose something like this (http://www.kaimart.com/product_info.php?products_id=1162), but it's hardly cheap.

You can buy pure cosmetic grade mink oil. It is available online. I looked into it for my leather boots. I was not looking for cosmetic grade oil. This is a good link but changes were made on their website - you could email them - the price was less expensive than the other sites.

I use a mink oil petroleum product on my boots.
These are other cosmetic grade mink oil links.

Thank you that's just what I was looking for! It's a present for my Godsister who has the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair that dries out like crazy and used to use mink oil but can't get it now because the shop got two complaints.
Wow only 17ml for $29 that really is expensive!

Try emailing that first link I gave you. They are suppposed to be much cheaper - for some reason, they no longer have mink oil prices on their site but they may be able to help you somehow.
ETA: I just emailed them through their advertising email - the only one I could find to ask them if they still offer items for sale, including pure mink oil at a good price.
I will post any information they might respond with should they reply.
In the meantime I also found this for you. The buy it now price is only $19.95.

An alternative may be camellia oil - this thread is very popular.
