Does anyone have a good alternative for Vinegar rinses?

I have pretty hard water and see a beautiful difference with a vinegar rinse. Hate the smell though, and I've tried infusing it with rose, mixing with rose water, everything!

Can I use any acidic alternative in the final rinse? Or is vinegar special to cut the hard water? Would hibiscus work?

Alot of people use a citric acid rinse. I am not sure where to get the stuff, but I am sure someone will come along with that information.

I sometimes use diluted lemon juice for a rinse. Works just as well.

You can use almost everything which is acidic, just make sure the pH-value of the rinse does not get too low. Some things should be diluted more than others.
I have tried:
lemon juice fresh and bottled concentrate
lime juice fresh
grapefruit juice fresh
orange juice fresh
citric acid
ascorbic acid
lactic acid
white / red vine, apple cider and other vinegar
rose hip - hibiscus tea mix
...
I think thatīs all I have tried so far
Except grapefruit and orange juice, which acted slightly sticky, it worked quite fine for my hair and scalp.

I got my citric acid from the grocery store, in the baking section (you can use it for making jam, too).

Yes, citric acid is the same as sour salt. I get mine in the Kosher section of the supermarket. I use one heaping teaspoon in a gallon of water.
