I just had to post that since I've been nightly oiling dampened ends (I sleep in braids) and rubbing a few drops of oil in my hair after showering, my hair has improved insanely. And it's only been a week! I hope it stays this good and I don't do some kind of oil over-load :disco:
I regret that I stopped oiling last summer, no wonder my hair felt like straw.

Oh fyi: I use coconut, jojoba, and grapeseed (depending on how i feel) :)

That's great! I should do it too - I only do it rarely, when I think of it! :-)

Oh thanks for posting about that! I have been having no luck with my hair lately.. maybe all it needs is a good oiling. I'll definitely have to try that.

Thank you :) I need to be reminded about this. My hair feels so much better when I mist and oil. I so often forget. I'm going to do that now before I go to bed!

I really need to try Grapeseed soon.I swear by coconut for my dry chemically dyed hair, but I use it sparingly ;)

Ditto on the "dry chemically dyed hair", but I haven't in half a year. Jojoba works well on my length and my ends love grapeseed & coconut (both SO soft :inlove:).

I just had to post a little experience with coconut oil in this thread...

Just got a jar of Extra Virgin Coconut oil the other day, and this morning after washing I put a tiny bit of oil in damp ends.

I was noticing a big difference, and to make sure that this was for real and not just something I was imagening, I went to ask my BF if he could see any difference in my hair. As I expected, he commented that my hair looked slightly more shiny, and he also said that it looked like my hair had more life in it.

For many months now, my hair has been totally lifeless, with tremendous lack of both bounce and shine. After the oiling this morning, my hair has now got some bounce back, it is more shiny than it has been for a looong time - and best of all; my waves are slightly starting to come back!

When my hair is normal, I have waves making me look like a cocker spaniel (you know, those kind of curly ears) - I call this "my cocker spaniel look" - and I just love it! Have been missing the waves so bad, and now they are (hopefully) on their way back - just because of a tiny bit of coconut oil! :happydance:

Has anyone used almond oil on their hair?

That's next on my list of oils to try, along with tea tree oil and avocado oil. I'll let you know :agree:
