View Full Version : Coffee Rinses?

I've heard that coffee rinses are a natural way to make your hair a little darker, without useing dyes. Has anyone ever tried this? How does one go about it? Can you use regular black coffee, or does it need to be esspresso? Does this cause any damage to the hair? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I did this many years ago before i knew pretty much anything about the natural dyeing process so take this with a grain of salt. I used a concenrtated coffe mix and also atrong brewedblack tea (not at the same time though). My natural hair is very light blonde and while it did tint it a fair bit the both the coffee and tea were drying, especially the coffee. I wanted something much much darker and ended up dying but i had to wait till i got rid of the crispiness and breakage from using the coffee and tea so much. I did bth of those for about a month it took a good 6 treatments to see any real change before that it would just cast a tint you could see a bit in the sun. I dont know if that helps youa t all but that was my experiance. Good luck!

It's for my hair.... I swear......:coffee::bounce:
I didn't notice much color change when I mixed it with my acv/ beer mix, but hopefully I'll see some more growth!
