Hey, I'm having issues uploading photos! It says that the photo cannot be uploaded! Advice?

Is the photo too large, or an unsupported file type?

What are the supported file types? Some of the photos from my camera would upload, and others I had to open and save in paint?

I don't know the supported file types, but I've uploaded both JPG and PNG files just fine.

However, since you're able to upload some images from your camera and not others, it seems to me that the problem images were too large. (Whether that's due to the dimensions of the picture, I don't know.) I do know, however, that the maximum file size per picture is 100 KB, and the maximum picture dimensions are 600 by 600 pixels. I'd take a look at the problem pictures and see if they were taken at a higher resolution or size than the ones that worked.

They all were taken with the same settings and when I saved some of them in paint as a JPEG, with the original sizes, they uploaded just fine!

Its not letting me upload photos into my album now either. Last night I was doing it fine, today I keep getting the message

"Invalid Picture specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

I've never had a problem up loading pictures before and there is nothing different about these then any of my other ones.....

I just had that message too. I wonder if it has to do with my upgrading Windows yesterday.

I haven't up graded anything. Glad to know it isn't just me though!

It's me too, same message and everything. :( I resized to make sure that wasn't it, but it still didn't work.

Well at least that means it isn't us its the site. Makes me feel slightly better.

It couldn't be that I have a MAC could it? :hmm: Some sort of MAC discriminatory glitch!? LOL

It doesn't work for me either. And I have a mac too.

Huh, so I just tried it again and its doing something new...kind of. It took forever to try and download 1 picture but finally a white screen with a bunch of nonsense written at the top popped up that said the pic was successfully downloaded and it was redirecting. It did redirect, straight to the "invalid picture message".

I was noticing nobody has added photos since yesterday afternoon - I'm a hair photo junkie :)

I get the error massage too, on valid 477X600 95kg jpg pic. It's not macs or pcs, something's up with the site.

It looks like the "automatic resizer" that shrinks uploaded photos might not be working. I just tried uploading a large file, and it failed. When I tried to upload a file that is within 600x600 and 97kB, it worked.

Can you guys check your photo sizes and test again?

I too recently tried to upload pictures for hair updates in album that were definately the right size. Got the error message/invalid file etc. This was late last week. Hope they have fixed the problem now.

Is the image resizer going to be fixed? I can't upload photos to my album, and it would be a real pain for me to open and resize all the photos I want to upload if there's a script that does it automatically.

I am having a problenm uploading a file. It seems to be the right size but I am not sure how to change it myself. Shouldn't it automaticaly change itself?
ETA i think I have it figured out;)
