Thanks, but the fairytale ends got to go :), I don't mind them at a longer lenght, but I'm tired of waiting for the thickness to grow back in!

I'm happy with the color, it faded a bit, but it was a bit too dark. I still hope to get it more fiery one day :)

The colour you got looks completely natural - like a natural redhead. So hot!

Also - my hair is past TBL and still completely see through up to my bra strap...and mine is darkest brown! Yours looks fine - just keep trimming a centimetre or so off every few months if you are worried. :)

Your hair doesn't look see through in your avatar! I can make it look like that too, but in a second it's gone :D
I'm trimming twice a month now.

Beautiful. Doesn't even look henna'ed, looks like natural red.

Ummm! I love henna against that herringbone black-and-white checked dress! I agree with all the feedback on how natural it looks, especially combined with your pale skin.

It totally fits!

Thanks! Now I need to take some pictures with green clothes so it brings out the red more :)
My natural hair color has a tendency to go towards red tints so that's maybe why it worked out that well.

Just took a new picture today, this is after oxidation of the henna (2 weeks later):

Ilovelonghair. I asked this in your blog, but i figured that maybe it would be good for this thread too.

How do you get that color? what time do you leave it on for, what kind are you using, what is your starting color?

Sorry to ask so much but i just love this kind of color. my hair is at least a medium brown, darker in some spots, but i want this kind of color even if it only show up in the light. I know my henna wont be as bring but i dont want red i want the copperish tone!

melrose1985, it took me ages to get that color! It's not easy :p. First I tried mixtures of cassia and henna and that didn't end up very red, so last time I went for pure henna. I just used henna and warm water, nothing else. Normally I use chamomille tea, which helps the dye release. One time I had very potent henna, the dy relase was imediate, I was very careful with that, because it can end up way too dark, so I had to mix it with cassia.
(make sure not to use any lemon, that will make the dye release less strong and th color will wash out faster too, I made that mistake a couple of times :o)

So the last time I hennaed, I first did the roots, left it for an hour, then the rest of my hair and left it for another hour (so the roots had 2 hours). Thats to avoid build up.

The henna I used is organic henna from the healthfood store.

My natural hair color is a darkish blonde with copper tones. Maybe your natural color is darker and it might have different results. Ask Nightshade, she's the henna expert!

Thank you for getting back to me. I"m not using pure henna, i'm doing the lush bars. But i'm just trying to get a better understaning of colors and times. I know everyone gets different colors though anyways.

thanks a bunch though!
