I've been wanting to make the switch to henna for a while now. I'm uncomfortable using conventional dye, but I refuse to give up my ginger locks.

The only place I've ever found henna is in Lush. Whereas it turned out great, the fact that it comes in big blocks that I have to grate down is kind of a pain. I would like something in powder form, that is of a quality grade.

There's a health food store near my house that sells henna, but it's so obviously not legit (there's a lot more of other things than henna in there), and I don't know where else to go.

I looked on the henna article, and there was a link to a Canadian supplier, but when I tried ordering it, it told me there was no shipping to my region.

So, yeah. Help a cowgirl out?

Howdy Pardner. Have you tried some of the middle eastern stores in town? I think there are some along 17 Ave SE. Also some east indian stores. I am thinking of a spice store (can't remember the name) just off 52 Street SE on 8th Ave. I think I've seen henna there although it's been a while since I was over that way (I moved out of that neighborhood). If you just drive up and down 17th Ave SE (also known as International Avenue) I am sure you will find some shops with what you want.

It's embarrassing to think I never considered 17th avenue. Haha, geez. Thank you. :o I'll go today, and post some store names for other Calgarians.

I hope you find something local. If you can't there are online stores like Henna Sooq (http://www.hennasooq.com/ca-store/).

Haha, yeah. That was the place that said they won't ship to my town.

I thought you were speaking of me. You should have just emailed me to ask what the problem was :)

Make sure you click on the CAN flag in order to get into the Canadian shop. I hope this helps
